Tristana’s artistic influences include Deborah Klein, whom she sees as a mentor, Friedensreich Hundertwasser, David Fraser and the bold colours and landscapes of Australian Aboriginal art.
“Printmaking allows me to explore different media and put my stories into the linocuts … I [depict] my own environment, my surroundings, family life in my prints. I continue to create layered images and richly textured patterns that reveal so much about the way I interpret my environment as story.”
Tristana has lived with mental health issues throughout her adult life.
